                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 5519
                   HIXSON PIKE, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE OF
                   HIXSON PIKE NORTHEAST OF OLD HIXSON PIKE FROM
                   R-2 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE
                   COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
             
              A tract of land located at 5519 Hixson Pike, being on
              the northwest line of Hixson Pike northeast of Old
              Hixson Pike.  Part of lot 8, Mary C. Hamill Estate, as
              shown by plat of record in deed book B, volume 7, page
              263, R.O.H.C., and an unplatted tract, being the
              property described in deed book 3461, page 574, R.O.H.C. 
              Tax Map No. 100K-A-4 and 100K-A-7 (part).
             
         from R-2 Residential Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial 
District.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
